face appearance at address. From surveying different catalogs and measuring many heads, the majority of face angles fall between the vary narrow range of 1º open to 2º closed. This leaves three options for golfers who have a tendency to slice or hook the ball.

The first is to experiment with multitude of different shafts when limited with one particular head. Although not entirely guesswork, it does take some time and money to figure whether one needs a stiffer or more flexible shaft, a higher or lower torque, or a shaft that is tip stiff or tip flexible. Each golfer responds to these parameters differently.

Another option is to find certain head designs that might be more beneficial to a hooker or a slicer based on the position of the center of gravity within the head. The manufacturer of the head should be able to tell you this information.
