The manufacture of a rubber slip-on grip typically includes these three steps:
-
Creating a rubber compound from which the material is to be made from
-
Molding that compound into the form of a grip or an underlisting (which will be wrapped by an additional material)
-
Each grip will be finished and paint filled to give it the distinctive look and feel unique to each grip model
While the total production time in putting a grip through these three steps probably is no more than a couple of hours, keeping up with the demand for these products has most grip manufacturers operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
