Step 3: Painting and finishing

   
 

The first two steps of creating the blend of materials to be used and the actual molding process into the final shape do not vary much amongst manufacturers. What makes each grip manufacturer different is their own unique process of finishing the grips into the endless colors and textures the end consumer sees and feels. The primary reason for this is due to the fact that no single company produces grip painting and finishing machines, so each company’s equipment must be designed “in-house”. Therefore, understandably, each grip maker is very protective of the paint and finishing equipment it uses in their factory(s).
